1. Do you do custom work?
I will gladly modify any of my existing designs to better suit your needs. Typically there is a small up-charge depending on the degree of modification. Examples of this would include substituting a clasp, adding or reducing the standard length, or incorporating a different pearl size. Unfortunately, I do not offer clip-on earrings at this time.
I can also work with you to design a one-of-a-kind custom piece from scratch. Have a photo of a necklace your grandmother wore that you would like to replicate? An antique brooch that you would love to incorporate into a statement necklace? These are some of my favorite projects to work on! Please note that there is a $100 minimum on custom design, and production may take longer than a standard order depending on the piece.
2. How long will it take to receive my jewelry?
The current production time is posted in the header of this website. Typical production time is up to 2 weeks. A longer timeline is typical for custom designs and larger orders, such as bridal parties.
3. How are Austrian Crystal pearls in your jewelry different from natural pearls? How are they different from other imitation pearls?
The Swarovski crystal pearls I use in my jewelry are widely regarded as the highest quality replica of coveted south sea pearls. They have the same weight, feel and luster as natural pearls, and they even warm to the skin the way natural pearls do. The pearls are available in a wide variety of sizes and rich assortment of colors, so these pieces can be tailored to coordinate with any look. And, of course, they allow Demoiselle to bring you superior-quality pearl pieces that will stand the test of time and without breaking the bank!
Most manufactured pearls in the commercial jewelry market are made with an acrylic or glass base with a painted coating. Demoiselle has continuously chosen to work with pearls from Swarovski, as their beauty and quality is unmatched.
4. How do you handle payment and shipping?
Payment is taken securely through PayPal, which allows you to use your credit card, bank card, or your PayPal account. Orders are shipped with USPS Priority Mal. You will receive an e-mail with a tracking number once it has shipped.
5. I want to be 100% sure that I am choosing the right shade(s) for my bridal or bridesmaid jewelry. Is there any way to see a few of the colors in person before committing to my choice?
You may order a Demoiselle color sample HERE (complimentary excluding shipping). The color sample will consist of pearls affixed to a chain that you can match with your dress or fabric swatches.
6. How is your jewelry packaged? Will it arrive ready for gift giving?
All Demoiselle jewelry arrives securely packaged in crisp white Demoiselle gift boxes. No fuss with packaging - All you will need to do is wrap them!
7. What is your return policy?
For any item listed in the SHOP, your entire purchase will be swiftly refunded if you are not satisfied with the product within 30 days of delivery. For CUSTOM designs, all sales are final - however if there is an issue with the piece within 30 days of purchase, I will provide complimentary repairs.
8. My favorite piece has broken after many wears. Do you do repairs?
Repairs are offered on all Demoiselle jewelry. Send me an E-mail describing the broken piece, date of purchase, and a photo of the damage. Cost will depend on the extent of the necessary repair and the materials involved.
I will also re-string any of my classic knotted pearls designs! It is typical for the fiber on a well-loved strand of knotted pearls to loosen, discolor or fray over time. Typical cost to re-string an 18-inch necklace is $20 plus the cost of shipping.
9. Do you charge sales tax?
A Sales Tax of 6.25% will be applied to all Massachusetts orders.
